Lumberjacks Heading to Monty Brewster Memorial Series Thursday, October 26th , 2051 The championship dreams are still alive for the Portland Lumberjacks, while it's back to the drawing board for the Yellow Springs Nine. By a score of 4-3, Portland won the decisive game at The Trail in Multnomah today. The Lumberjacks took the series 4-1. Jeffrey Smith of the Lumberjacks was named the Cartwright Cup MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the Monty Brewster Memorial Series," Smith said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The Portland Lumberjacks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New Orleans Crawdads - Mexico City Aztecs series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
