Zombies Win Geoghegan Round Monday, October 3rd , 2061 The playoff push continues for the Jacksonville Zombies as they seek to capture the Monty Brewster Memorial Series. The Geoghegan Round came to a close tonight at The Station @ CSX Field as the Zombies eliminated the Mexico City Aztecs 3-1, with a 9-4 victory in the clinching game. "Individual stats don't even matter at this time of year, we got to the next round and that's all I care about," said Rubén bin Majid al Din, who in fact put up strong individual stats to be named series MVP. "I'm proud of the guys and the effort we put forward. We're all pulling in the same direction right now." For the series, bin Majid al Din had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 3 strikeouts with a 1-0 record. The Jacksonville Zombies will play against the Charm City Jimmies in the next round. Charm City had a bye in the Geoghegan Round.
