Jimmies Move on to Monty Brewster Memorial Series Saturday, October 26th , 2058 The Charm City Jimmies "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Cartwright Cup and eliminating the Calgary Pioneers, according to series MVP Dave Ackerman. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Monty Brewster Memorial Series and looking towards the Monty Brewster Memorial Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Charm City won the final game 9-8, to wrap up the series 4-2. Ackerman led his team to the series win by putting up a .440 average, with a .481 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Charm City Jimmies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Nashville Bluebirds - Sacramento Mad Popes series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece.
