 | Talons Lose Smith for Season Friday, August 31st, 2046 The Phoenix Talons were dealt a severe blow when Jeremy Smith was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Atlantic City Gamblers. After the game, the team trainer reported Smith might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 22-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff. They indicated it would take Smith at least 9 months to heal.
