Lumberjacks Upend River Monsters, 3-1

The Portland Lumberjacks picked up a win at Land O' Lakes Ballpark, courtesy of Eng-hee Kin. The right-hander helped his team stop the Twin Cities River Monsters, 3-1. In 7.1 innings, Kin surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Renato Lacerda closed the door for Portland, picking up his 4th save of the year.
The Lumberjacks got an important contribution from first baseman Hideaki Ohayashi, who in the top of the third hit a fastball into left for a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Lumberjacks ahead, 1-0.
"Nice to get this one," said Kin. "Wins have been hard to come by."
Portland, with the win, is 18-40.
