Late Magic Gets Bikini 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between the Bikini Krill and the Portland Lumberjacks, pitcher Norberto García was masterful on the mound. The Bikini left-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Shea Valance got credit for the save for Bikini. It was his 16th of the year. At 59-70, the Krill are currently 7th in the Frick League Pacific Division.
Bikini used a clutch hit from Napoleon Mellott to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Krill ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"Anyone who says he's not out there thinking about personal accomplishments is not telling the truth," García said later.
