The Long Beach Surfers defeated the Madison Wolves, 9-7. Doing his part was left fielder Greg Clover, who went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Long Beach reliever Harold Nothard picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Lucas Wood absorbed the loss. Owen McKelvey earned save number 1 this season.

In the bottom of the second, Adrian Mote hit a 2-run triple. The 1st triple of the season for the Long Beach shortstop put the Surfers on top, 4-2.
