Gamblers Hammered by Thomas, Fall Further Behind in GR
With right fielder Chris Thomas leading the charge, the Phoenix Talons got past the Atlantic City Gamblers, 7-5, in extra innings in Game 2 of the Geoghegan Round today. Thomas went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once at The Ballpark at Bally's as Phoenix managed to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

In the top of the tenth, Thomas hit a 2-run home run to put his team on top. The Talons would go on to win the game.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Thomas told the Phoenix Observer. "It's as simple as that."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Denny's Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium Presented By Subaru in Phoenix.
