Le Gal Powers Jimmies Offense
|
Jules Le Gal left his imprint on the 9-2 Charm City win against the San Antonio Outlaws. Le Gal, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2051 draft, was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Katsuyuki Heida earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Charm City is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Jimmies got a big hit from designated hitter Ted Benson. In the top of the seventh, Benson pounded a grand slam home run to center. His 21st home run of the season put the Jimmies ahead, 9-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Le Gal.
