Pearls Down Sharks, 3-2
|
Tokyo rode a decent outing from starter Jim Watson to victory over the Sydney Sharks. The final score was 3-2. With the win, the Pearls have a record of 52-48.
Had Jaime Cuevas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cuevas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Pearls.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Watson.
