Jerusalem Claims 3-2 Victory
|
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers starter Ed Noble was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Athens Fighting Centaurs, 3-2. Fernando Camacho earned the save for Jerusalem, his 5th. The loss drops the Fighting Centaurs to 7-13.
Danny Castillo came through for Jerusalem when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike curveball to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"It's not about individual awards," Castillo told a Jerusalem News reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
