McClure Shines, But Krill Fall Short
The Twin Cities River Monsters had to overcome a big game from Bikini first baseman Mike McClure to leave Land O' Lakes Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. McClure went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Twin Cities reliever Bryce Sparks picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Fred Taylor was saddled with the loss. With the victory, the River Monsters record now stands at 37-30.

Randall Gray helped out the Twin Cities cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Gray told the Twin Cities Times.
