Pederson Passes Kahn With Most K's in History
Monday, December 5th, 2044
Sarasota hurler Pat Pederson just pushed the K-scale to another level.

Pederson broke the league's all-time record for strikeouts in a career at San Jose Grounds today, chalking up number 205. The Black Sox right-hander broke the mark previously held by Sven Kahn. Speaking at the postgame press conference later, he said he did not anticipate becoming known as a strikeout artist.

"I never really made it my goal to set records," he said. "I just wanted to make a team, get some starts, win a few games and do it year after year. I just wanted to make a good living in baseball. It has worked out wonderfully for me. And as a bonus, I get my name in the record books."

So far this season Pederson has compiled a 3-1 record with a 1.34 ERA.
