Rivera Is FPL's Best Rookie
Tuesday, December 8th, 2043
Rookies are supposed to be seen, but not heard. But that wasn't the case with Ocala's Manuel Rivera. He spoke up loudly and often this season on his way to winning the Florida Prospect League Rookie of the Year Award for 2043.

To be accurate, the 20-year-old right fielder let his performance do the talking. In his debut season Rivera piled up some good stats, hitting .418, driving in 27 runs and scoring 22 times, while playing in 27 games. The River Monsters newcomer also had 11 doubles, 1 triple and 6 home runs.

He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 32. Miguel González of the Vero Beach Mad Popes finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Nathaniel Davis of the Tampa Hustlers finished third with 6 first place votes.
