GBC Awards Best Batter Prize to Romero Monday, June 24th , 2058 Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers first baseman Germán Romero rose above the controversy surrounding his soon-to-expire contract, thriving under pressure last week and copping the Player of the Week award in the Global Baseball Consortium. Romero put up a .417 batting average (10-for-24) with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 4 times. Thus far this year Romero is hitting .256 with 16 home runs, 42 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
