Lugono's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Thursday, September 28th , 2051 "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Pearls clubhouse today as it was learned that third baseman Kinfu Lugono will be out for an added 4 days as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for knee tendinitis will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Tokyo third baseman told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Kinfu gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer. Lugono has collected 132 hits for the Pearls this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 55 RBIs and scored 63 runs while batting .280. |
