#1 Pitcher Trophy Won by Tarpons Beals Monday, September 30th , 2058 Bill Beals of the Silver Springs Tarpons will be adding a new centerpiece to his mantel after being tabbed for the Baxter League Jack Sellers Pitcher Award today. The 22-year-old hurler started 23 games this season, tallying a 12-5 record. In 182.1 innings, Beals gave up 135 hits, struck out 170, walked 46 and held opponents to a .209 average as he posted a fine 2.07 ERA. He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 32. Kreshnik Bizi of the Long Island Legion finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while José Rivera of the Quebec Capitals finished third.
