Capitals Advance to Pegler Series Wednesday, September 11th , 2058 Quebec Capitals won a nail-biting series against the Toledo Liberty 2-1, wrapping up the Garden Cup finale 3-0 at Todd Creek Grounds. Capitals shortstop José Navarro was named the series MVP. He batted .700, drove in 4 runs and scored 2 to lead Quebec into the next round of play. "José was real solid for us, real solid," said Capitals manager Chip Saunders. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Quebec Capitals will play against the Springdale Roosters in the next round. Springdale won their series against the Billings Cowboys 2 games to 1.
