Springdale Advances to Pegler Series Wednesday, September 11th , 2058 The Springdale Roosters were paced by a strong offensive output from Francisco Calderón as they downed the Billings Cowboys 2-1 to win the Garden Cup. Springdale won the final game by a score of 8-1 at The Coop to send themselves off to the Pegler Series. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said third baseman Calderón, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .364 with a .417 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Springdale Roosters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Toledo Liberty - Quebec Capitals series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Pegler Series is scheduled to begin on September 12th , 2058.
