Outfield Rail Series Goes the Distance, Toledo Prevails Friday, September 6th , 2058 The sweet swing of Luis Cerda has led his team through the Outfield Rail Series. The Toledo Liberty star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Long Island Legion to advance to the Garden Cup. The Liberty won the final game at Todd Creek Grounds by a score of 5-2 and the series 2-1. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Cerda. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Cerda hit .417 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Toledo Liberty will play against the Quebec Capitals in the next round. Quebec won their series against the Silver Springs Tarpons 2 games to 0.
