Arroyo Pitches Legion to Shutout Victory Thursday, August 22nd , 2058 In an outstanding mound performance, Long Island Legion starter Alonso Arroyo fired a complete-game shutout against the Cumberland Miners at Tigers Park at Harbour Arena today. Arroyo was the key to the Legion's 6-0 win. The 21-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 4 walks he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." In 27 starts this season Arroyo has compiled a 15-10 record and a 3.58 ERA.
