Folsom's Díaz to Miss Season Sunday, August 18th , 2058 The doctors have spoken and Juan Díaz of the Folsom Foxhounds didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Díaz sustained his season-ending injury during the Prince George Cougars game yesterday at Ballpark of Folsom. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Folsom medical staff reported Díaz had a severely strained hip muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. For the year Díaz is batting .286 with 4 home runs, 58 RBIs and 80 runs scored. |
