Martínez Fashions Shutout Against Mudcats Sunday, August 4th , 2058 José Martínez of the Dearborn Heights Knights shut out the Shreveport Mudcats 6-0, stopped them on 1 hit and had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing at Canfield Park today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Dearborn Heights manager Paul Scholes said later. "When José stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key." Presently Martínez has a 2-7 mark in 10 starts with a 5.19 ERA. He has given up 69 hits in 52 innings, struck out 27 and issued 13 walks.
