Gato Belts 5 Hits Saturday, June 29th , 2058 Atsushi Gato got the glory and the headlines today, but the Pahrump Ranchers left with the win. The Medford center fielder easily handled the Ranchers pitching, going 5-for-8, but his Medford Mules came out on the short end of the 8-5 score. Gato told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Atsushi Gato doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 11th, doubled in the 13th and struck out in the 16th.
