Miners End Barnett's Streak Friday, June 28th , 2058 Marty Barnett's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 21 games today as the Lake City Limes dropped their contest with the Cumberland Miners 2-0 at The Looney Bin. Barnett failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-2. After the game Barnett spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. This season Barnett has hit at a .366 clip and produced 31 runs batted in, 5 home runs and 45 runs. |
