Edgard Rodríguez Out for Season Wednesday, May 1st , 2058 The doctors have spoken and Edgard Rodríguez of the Council Bluffs Express didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rodríguez sustained his season-ending injury during the Danville Dodos game yesterday at Pacific Railroad Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Council Bluffs medical staff reported Rodríguez had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. Rodríguez has taken the mound for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA. The Council Bluffs reliever has limited opposing batters to a .233 batting average. |
