Streak Finally Over, Zeroual Held Hitless
Saturday, August 25th , 2057
It was a doubly miserable day today for Negera Zeroual of the Boulder Crush, as he saw his 25-game hitting streak end and his team lose 2-1 to the Medford Mules at Crush Field. The 23-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Mules.
"Anyone on a 25-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Medford manager Bill Farrell said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."
Thus far this season in 95 games Zeroual is batting .348 with 7 home runs, 47 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 130 hits in 374 at-bats.
