Martínez Gets JL Rookie of Month Honors Monday, September 1st , 2059 Octávio Martínez's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Rockville left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In August he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .345 with 9 doubles, 1 triple and 5 home runs. Martínez also scored 14 times and drove in 26 runs. Batting .287 to date, Martínez has 17 home runs and 71 RBIs. |
