Rockville Out of Playoff Race Wednesday, September 11th , 2058 Even the most die-hard fans of the Rockville Pikemen will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Pikemen starting pitcher Logan Hill. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." Rockville last appeared in the postseason in 2050. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 35 times in their 64-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Pikemen have missed the playoffs 7 times. Rockville has won the Monty Brewster Memorial Series 4 times in their history. |
