Talons-Kernels Trade: Illingworth for Parreno Monday, August 19th , 2058 BNN has learned the Phoenix Talons have reportedly worked out a deal with the Des Moines Kernels. Sources close to the Talons indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year old 3B Félix Parreno will be swapped to Phoenix with 39-year old LF Stewart Illingworth and 16-year old minor league LF Amir Baha al Din heading to Des Moines. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. This season Illingworth has hit at a .284 clip with 22 RBIs, 8 home runs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 42 games. To date this year Parreno is batting .259 with 32 home runs. |
