Alker Honored by Johnson League Monday, July 15th , 2058 A battle-tested Colm Alker declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 33-year-old New Orleans first baseman collected the Johnson League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .471 average, 8 hits in 17 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season Alker has put up a .284 batting average with 79 hits, 18 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
