Wolves Snap Tahir's Streak at 23 Sunday, July 7th , 2052 Burhan Tahir went 0-for-4 at Utopia Field today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 23 games. The 25-year-old Yellow Springs first baseman failed to get a hit today in the Nine 7-6 victory over the Madison Wolves at Utopia Field.
Tahir did not make himself available to reporters after the game.
"I think Burhan is a little upset," Yellow Springs manager Gilberto Pacheco said. "He'll get over it."
So far this year Tahir has 17 home runs and a .307 batting average.
