Ernesto Martas Sidelined for Season Wednesday, September 4th , 2047 The season is finished for Ernesto Martas of the Yellow Springs Nine. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Nine reliever suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Long Beach Surfers. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal. To this point in the season Martas has no saves in 43 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 2.45 ERA. |
