20-Game Hitting Streak for Arredondo Monday, July 15th , 2047 The Sacramento Mad Popes stopped the Twin Cities River Monsters today 6-1 and Francisco Arredondo collected a base hit yet again. The Sacramento second baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Arredondo told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Francisco Arredondo grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Arredondo is swinging at a .263 pace on the year with 12 home runs, 36 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 83 games. |
