 | Charlotte-Yellow Springs Deal: García for Mendoza Thursday, June 29th, 2045 Brett Golden, general manager of the Charlotte Cougars, has signed off on a trade for Yellow Springs's 24-year-old RF Ricardo Mendoza and 25-year-old RHP Armando Duarte. To complete the deal, the Cougars will send 27-year-old RHP Jorge García, 19-year-old LHP Byron Ratcliffe and 22-year-old 2B John Weber to the Nine. Yellow Springs will retain a portion of Mendoza's remaining contract. On his stats sheet for the year García shows a 2-5 record, 11 starts, 74.1 innings, 68 strikeouts and a 4.60 ERA. Presently Mendoza is batting .263 and has collected 8 home runs, 26 RBIs, .323 OBP and scored 30 runs. |   |
