 | Salazar and Ramos Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, July 30th, 2043 If there wasn't a history between Pedro Salazar of Valencia and José Ramos of Seattle, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 2 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Salazar said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season Salazar has gotten 47 hits in 225 at-bats for a .209 batting average with 13 home runs. His stats include 41 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has played in 69 games. Running the numbers on Ramos for the year, he has made 37 relief appearances, recorded 3 saves and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark with a 5.02 ERA. In pitching 86 innings, he has totaled 52 strikeouts and 27 walks. |   |
