 | Nicto No-Hits Bluebirds Tuesday, May 19th, 2043 In a dominant outing, Juan Nicto of the Chicago Black Sox totally silenced the bats of the Nashville Bluebirds, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Black Sox' 2-0 victory, Nicto faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Chicago manager Julián Negrete said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Horace Young told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game. "The Black Sox had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Nicto pitched a heck of a ballgame." This year Nicto has fashioned a 3-2 mark, 3.93 ERA and pitched 50.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .201 against him and he has logged 27 strikeouts.
