 | Portland Lumberjacks Ship Howeth-Arneson, Jr. to Long Beach Monday, December 16th, 2041 BNN has learned the Portland Lumberjacks have reportedly worked out a deal with the Long Beach Surfers. Sources close to the Lumberjacks indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 21-year-old minor league LHP Corbin Valentín and 22-year-old minor league CF Liann-wei Tong will be swapped to Portland with 24-year-old RHP Scotts Joe, 21-year-old CF Brandon Howeth-Arneson and Jr. heading to Long Beach. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. Howeth-Arneson, Jr. is hitting .258 lifetime with 118 hits, 22 doubles, 4 triples, 7 home runs and 62 RBIs to date. He has scored 66 runs and stolen 28 bases. |   |
