Blazers Beaten By Oysters, 3-2
|
The Rocky Mountain Oysters picked up a win at Ubisoft Field, courtesy of Ken Steele. The left-hander helped his team stop the Montreal Blazers, 3-2. Steele got the win, improving to 7-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Sergej Gijsberts recorded his 17th save for Rocky Mountain.
Rocky Mountain used a timely hit from Sergio Castro to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Oysters ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"No time for posing," said Castro. "The next game will be here before you know it."
The win puts Rocky Mountain at 31-29 this season.
