Bikini got a strong outing from Félix Vidaca as the Krill defeated the Hawaii Tropics, 5-1, at Forever Field. Vidaca, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Bikini is 4th in the Frick League Pacific Division with a record of 73-56.
Run-ming Gui had a big 3-run home run for the Krill in the bottom of the second inning. With Bikini leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a changeup from former first round draft pick José Ordóñez and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Krill on top, 4-0.
"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Vidaca.
