Gamblers Rally to Win, 3-2
|
The Ballpark at Bally's was host to some intense drama.
San Antonio got a valiant performance from pitcher Quinton Manning, but it wasn't enough to beat the Atlantic City Gamblers. Atlantic City won the game, 3-2. Manning threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The Gamblers now own a record of 31-27.
The Gamblers relied on designated hitter Michael Pedarzolli for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Atlantic City manager Mario González.
