Atlantic City Defeated by Charm City, 4-2
|
Charm City Jimmies starter Allen Davidson pitched effectively against the Atlantic City Gamblers at OLD BAY Park at Camden Yards. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 4-2 win. The save was credited to Manuel Barrera, his 34th. With the win, Charm City goes to 74-53, while the Gamblers fall to 48-79.
Jules Le Gal had a big 2-run double for the Jimmies in the bottom of the third inning. With Charm City leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Eddie Armstrong and swatted a double to right. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jimmies ahead, 4-1.
After the game, Charm City manager Pedro Medina applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
