Cyclones Go Down to Defeat, 7-6
Omaha shortstop Kensaku Kato had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cyclones dropped a 7-6 decision to Bikini at Mordonez Ballpark. Kato went 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Francisco Ortíz got the win, improving to 4-5. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Félix Vidaca was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

The Krill got an important contribution from third baseman Manuel Martínez, who in the top of the fourth hit a changeup to center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Krill ahead, 3-0.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Omaha manager Sylvester Reed. "But we decided not to take it."

Bikini is third in the Frick League Pacific Division with a record of 29-22.
