Mad Popes Drop Contest, 4-2, to Omaha
|
Behind an impressive start by Oscar O'Halloran, Omaha beat Sacramento, 4-2. In 5 innings, O'Halloran surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The win gives Omaha a season record of 28-21.
Omaha used a well-timed hit by George McCoy to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said O'Halloran.
