The Phoenix Talons picked up a win at Denny's Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium Presented By Subaru, taking down the Montreal Blazers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Slobodan Omeragic was a big reason why. The save went to Josh Dougherty, number 9 for him. The Talons have a winning streak of 5 games.

The Talons got a lift from shortstop Niaz Minhas, who in the bottom of the sixth stroked a 1-0 splitter into right-center for a run-scoring single. It was his 51st hit of the season and put the Talons ahead, 5-1.

"It's a mindset," said Omeragic. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
