Aztecs Fall Short, 3-2, at Calgary
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Calgary Pioneers and the Mexico City Aztecs, Daniel Thornton was the difference-maker. The Calgary right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The loss drops Mexico City to 1-4.
Larry Stinson had an important at-bat with two out in the bottom of the third, when he hit a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season put Calgary on top, 3-0.
"Every loss stings," said Mexico City manager Felipe Murillo. "This one is no exception."
