The umbrellas came out during the Phoenix-Mexico City contest at Ullamaliztli Field.

Mexico City got a decent performance from pitcher Jameel Khanum, but it wasn't enough to beat the Phoenix Talons. Phoenix won the Ullamaliztli Field contest, 5-4. Khanum threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Phoenix, at 20-20, occupies 6th place in the Johnson League Frontier Division.

Joseph Mother had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Phoenix. He came through with a 2-run single to put Phoenix in front, 4-3.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Mother told the Phoenix Daily News.
