Charlotte designated hitter Fawwaz Amin contributed to his team's 8-2 win over the Brooklyn Robins. Amin, who is tied for 2nd in the JL in RBI with 31, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Flyers. Mauro Mendoza, the winner, improved to 4-0. He held the Robins to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 5. With the victory, the Flyers record now stands at 20-18.
Charlotte took a 8-2 lead on Amin's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Cipriano Enríquez in the top of the seventh, propelled Charlotte to the win.
