6-2 Loss to Tropics Extends Portland Losing Streak
The Hawaii Tropics faced a tough opponent in Portland pitcher Manuel Camacho, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Trail in Multnomah by a final score of 6-2. Camacho went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Phil Thompson recorded the save for Hawaii, his 3rd of the season. Portland now has a 7-game losing streak.

Hawaii used the timely hitting of Julián Rivera to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tropics on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Rivera called the win "a team effort."
