Des Moines second baseman Sonny Bigalow was sensational. He went 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Madison beat the Kernels, 7-5. Madison pitcher Tyler Murray got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Alonso Amaya got the loss. The Wolves go to 14-20, putting them last in the Frick League Heartland Division.

Madison second baseman Pedro Rocha contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 5-0.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Madison manager Will Myers.
